Heavy goods vehicle or HGV driving enables transportation of heavy industrial goods in the form of raw materials, unfinished goods or finished products. An HGV driver must possess some pre-determined requirements in order to complete the task. The training centers prefer candidates who are aged eighteen or above and are capable enough to handle over seven tons of load while driving. Large Goods Vehicle training is also known as rigid training.

At professional training centers, they even provide free assessment, a theory test, practical test and the course runs for maximum one week’s time. Accordingly, it is highly important to obtain an HGV driver’s license and apparently it is takes a longer period of time to do so. The procedure includes medical tests, theory test, LGV test, HGV test, book course, revision tests; following which you are now completely fit to obtain your HGV license.
